1995 Grand Banks Eastbay 38

The forward cabin, with two single berths, has port and starboard opening ports and a large hatch above for lots of natural light and ventilation. Along each bulkhead are storage cabinets, a large dresser with 4 drawers to starboard and a mirror above. Aft and to port is the head with shower.

The U-shape galley is to port with generous storage and counter space. A double polished stainless-steel sink along forward bulkhead with cabinets above, below and to the side. A Princess 3-burner propane cooktop is against the outboard bulkhead and a microwave oven for cooking. A front-loading refrigerator/freezer, an opening hatch above and a port provide excellent natural light and ventilation. Second top loading freezer. 

Opposite the galley is the salon/dining area with a teak table surrounded on three sides with a comfortable settee. The table can be lowered to a create a double berth for overnight guests. A hanging locker is forward of settee. Air conditioning throughout galley, salon, stateroom and head compartment.

Aft and up four stairs and through the hatch is the helm deck area enclosed with canvas. The sole is natural teak decking with a large hatch opening for access to the engine room. To port is an L-shaped settee and passenger seat. The passenger seat is removable to accommodate the L shaped bridge deck layout. Opposite is the helm area with seat with chrome pedestal. With excellent 360 visibility, all engine controls and electronics are easily within reach. The center windshield opens, and the soft top provides good natural light and ventilation.

Moving aft and down two steps is the large fiberglass cockpit. Along the forward bulkhead is a cushioned bench seat with storage beneath. A hot and cold hand shower is mounted on the aft bulkhead next to the shore hose connection.

Access to the new teak swim platform is through a transom door on the starboard side. Access to the bow area is on either side of the cabin. There are robust handrails along the side and handrails along the coach roof. The varnished toe rail and teak eyebrow trim along the cabin highlights the yacht's classic lines. The fore deck area is very clean and uncluttered.

• Air conditioning & heating system - performed routine required services.
• Port/Starboard Engines - upgraded/renewed hardware for belt guards, Racor fuel filter, installed new raw water pumps. Perform service engines cooling systems and components, drain out and flush out engine coolant jacket-water systems, remove and replace engine zincs, service and clean sea water strainer components, remove and replace engine drive belts, serviced inline fuel coolers, filled all cooling systems with new CAT ELC-diesel engine coolant, new coolant overflow bottles, expansion tank pressure caps and overflow hose, upgraded coolant jacket water, temp sensors.
• Remove/replace engine oil and oil filters, remove and replace transmission oil and internal oil filter screen. Replace filters/primary & secondary. Replace crank case breather filter. Upgraded/replaced injection system actuation pressure sensors, upgraded air intake heater circuit components, renew air filters housing assemblies.
• Generator - repair/retrofit sound shield assembly, install new soundproof material on several panels. Generator service, oil/zincs.
• Fuel tanks polished - 2022.  Main engines and generator serviced, oil and oil filter changed, fuel filters, impellers changed - March 2023.

1995 Grand Banks Eastbay 38 Simply the finest and most equipped Eastbay 38 Soft top Express available today. “Spirit” is very special with custom features and is a real head turner. Current owner completed a 2021 refit which included new Garmin navigation electronics, new upholstery and soft goods and canvas package, complete mechanical preventative maintenance for the Caterpillar diesels and generator. Inverter and air conditioning and new varnish make “Spirit” ready for the season. Mooring in Cherry Cove available for 2023.
