“Wasabi” is an Ed Monk design, 68’ Pilothouse Motoryacht custom built by Nordlund Boat Company in Tacoma, Washington.  She features three staterooms with three heads and has accommodations for 8 people, a large fishing cockpit with walk around side decks and Portuguese Bridge and stand-up engine room and a heavy-duty anchoring system.

Those familiar with cruising the Pacific Northwest will know of the Nordlund Boat Company. Nordlund is a highly regarded, family owned and operated, custom yacht builder and has a history spanning over 55 years of building some of the finest yachts in the world, ranging in size from 61' to 114'. Originally built on the proven 61 foot hull, the first owner had Nordlund extend the cockpit 7 feet, which provided a significantly increased fishing and water sports area together with increased fuel capacity, while still keeping with the Ed Monk and Nordlund pedigree.  Now with the second owner, “Wasabi" has seen continuous upgrades under both the original and current owner, starting with refresh of all major machinery, new electrical upgrades, and much more. Accommodations / Layout

Three staterooms with three ensuite heads and showers, sleeping berths for 8 total. Boarding is from either the stern via a large, fixed swim step into the Cockpit’s large transom door, or boarding from the port or starboard side gates on the Portuguese bridge. The cockpit features centerline live bait well with custom removable teak table-top, storage lockers, direct entrance to engine room, and a ladder up to the boat deck with the aft docking station and flybridge area. 

Entering the salon is from the cockpit through a large sliding glass door. The salon features large windows for excellent visibility, a U-shaped sofa, high low table with removable table-top for dining and two chairs to port. The modern TV and entertainment center is aft.

The teak interior wood is in excellent condition and is featured throughout the yacht. Up is the open galley to starboard and buffet bar area to port. Up one step is the raised pilothouse with port and starboard wing doors and steps that access up to the flybridge. The pilothouse features a centerline helm chair and stool seating to port and an additional raised bench seat with table. Direct access from the pilothouse is the full walk around side decks, Portuguese bridge, and foredeck with additional storage and seating area with seat cushions.  Forward on the bow is the cable anchoring system.

Flybridge has interior access from the pilothouse or exterior access from the cockpit ladder. The flybridge helm station is center line and features two guest seating areas. Aft is the 14’ Novurania tender and davit, wet bar with top loading refrigerator and additional storage, and stern helm station on the aft boat deck.

The owner's stateroom is accessed down a stairwell opposite the galley. The master stateroom is mid-ship and features a centerline Queen bed, opening port lights, two large cedar lined closets, built-in dressers and ensuite head with bathtub and shower, and direct access to the engine room through soundproofed door. Moving forward and to starboard is the utility room with freezer and washer & dryer and storage. To port is the guest head and stall shower. Opposite is a guest stateroom with lower, a double berth and cross over single berth. Forward is the linen locker and the third stateroom with upper lower berths plus third single berth and ensuite head with shower and opening overhead hatch.
