Accommodations

The master stateroom is aft with an island berth. The head and shower are split with the head on the port side of the stateroom and the shower to starboard. Located forward is the guest stateroom with cabinet storage, hanging locker and private head with shower.

Salon includes a straight, upgraded ultraleather settee located on the port side next to the freezer. Directly across is a large upgraded ultraleather L- settee and a custom flip-down chart table. The salon features great visibility and the interior woodwork is in wonderful condition.  The galley is located on the port side of the salon area.

Electrical

The vessel is powered with both 110 volt AC and 12 volt DC systems. She carries an 8kW Onan genset with sound shield, Xantrex 2000 watt inverter/charger and Heart EMS 2500 system panel as back-up for the inverter. She also carries the following equipment:

  • (1) 8D genset starting battery with Sure Power Isolator
  • Xantrex 3-step voltage for charging all batteries
  • Lewco 40 amp automatic battery charger (back up)

Deck and Hull

The vessel has teak decks topside with teak hand rails as well. The dinghy seats on Weaver custom chocks over the aft cabin. The owner has custom hinged the mast to allow the boat to fit under covered moorage. The main dinghy davit is a heavy duty pipe davit with a Rule V-80 electric power winch with controller. Vessel also has the standard aluminum Grand Banks mast and boom. The bridge deck area is fully enclosed in canvas. Located on the fly bridge is a large Sea Freeze 12 volt powered freezer. Other equipment includes:

  • Avon 11' dinghy with 25hp Mercury outboard + pipe davit
  • Fiberglass anchor pulpit and teak swim platform w/ladder
  • Cockpit hot and cold water washdown system
  • Lofrans Tigress 12 volt electric windlass

Engine and Mechanical

"EQUILIBRIUM" when new, was ordered with the largest twin engine application you could order from Grand Banks - the twin 375 HP Caterpillar 3208 TA's. Engine hour meters indicate 3154 hours currently. Owner upgraded to the Dual Racor fuel filter system for each engine and remote mounted them aft of the engines for easy access. Cabin heat is supplied by a Hurricane hot water diesel furnace. The furnace is also plumbed through the engines for block heating. A loop through the hot water was plumbed from the furnace to provide on demand hot water. She also features the following items:

  • Seafire halon automatic fire suppression system and manual back system
  • 12 volt engine oil change system
  • Vacuum pressure gauges at lower helm station for fuel filter restriction
  • (1) manual bilge pump
  • Holding tank level monitor
  • Marine Air 1600 BYU air conditioning heat pump
  • HRO system 9 water maker (needs service)
  • Hewitt dual engine pyrometers at lower helm
  • (2) electric bilge pumps
  • Holding tank with 12 volt macerator pump
  • (2) vacuflush heads
  • Heat and AC reverse cycle

Spare Parts

Stored away onboard are:

  • The staircase from master cabin to aft deck
  • Insert cushions for V berth and for settee in salon
  • 300’ rode with 30’ chain stowed in canvas bag for second anchor
  • 2 tubs of spare parts and 1 tub of hoses, all of which stay aboard.
